Digital Savings Groups are technologies and systems that digitize savings group records, procedures and transactions.
The Pro-Poupanca Platform facilitates these requirments and openes up new opportunities for the remote, marginalized and low-income communities in Mozambique to digitize their savings group records. With Pro-Poupanca's group of supporting applications - apps, savings groups can use even the simplest phone via sms to initiate, transact and record their groups records digitaly and save them on cloud servers for free.
With the MPESA API intergrated in the platform, seamless cashless transactions can be executed within the platform and members don't need to continualy meet to effect the groups activities.
In a deliberate effort for the platform to be all inclusive for all types of savings groups, the most important ability on the platform is its ability to initiate and concluded all group transaction via SMS. Automaticaly all transactions are backed-up and the savings groups records are permantly and safely stored in cloud servers. This type of digital access has been the main blocking factor for the true transition to digitize Savings Groups in Mozambique. For savings groups found in the extreme rural areas that have network coverage, but have limited internet coverage, digital transactions are still performed and group records are securely saved for retrival at any moment by group members or any third party intrested in the groups performance.

The android application for the Pro-Poupanca Platform opens up limitless possiblities for savings groups. It's intergreated functions make it possible for less physical meetings, as all group activities can be performed on the application including virtual meetings. Notifications and alerts are used to keep all members up to date with the transactions occuring within the savings group. Detailed records of the savings group transactions are avaible at any time, and the groups communications and virtual meetings are also saved for further transparancy. Records and transactions are safely kept in cloud server, for retrieval and analysis at any given time for free.
